Dr. Patrick Ryan

MD, FACS

Dr. Patrick Ryan received his Bachelor’s degree, cum laude from McNeese State in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1978. He graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School in 1982 and completed his residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville from 1982-1988. After practicing for 9 months in Dothan, AL, he came to Montgomery, AL in 1989, where he remains today.

Dr. Ryan has served as Chief of Staff, and is a member of the board of directors, of Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and he is a member of the Alabama Neurosurgical Society, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ryan has been instrumental in the clinical research of artificial cervical discs as well as the study of spinal disorders. He has also published several papers on the study of spinal and neurological disorders.
